Speakeasy Sundays and Midwest Burlesk

Every Sunday at 7pm at the Everleigh Social Club, we’ll be performing improvisational burlesque with a live band.  Only $5 and BYOB.  There really is no better way to spend a Sunday night.  Oh, and don’t forget the girls on the swing! Really!

In addition to Speakeasy Sundays, we’ll be heading to Minneapolis at the end of January to perform in the Best of Midwest Burlesk Festival.

Some of your favorite Starlets will be performing as featured soloists Jan. 27-29 and will also be performing our newest group act, Take it off the E-string, Play it on the G-string.  This is always such a fun festival and we can’t wait to be a part of it again!

The Chicago Starlets are heading to New Orleans to perform in the New Orleans Burlesque Festival!

The Starlets will take the stage on Sept. 17 in Mondo Burlesque at Harrah’s Casino. Vivian Velvet will also be performing her patriotic solo at the House of Blues in the Late Night show on the 17th and Lady Ginger will be performing her tainted hotel act in the Late Night show on the 18th.

We have just won the title of ‘Best Troupe’ at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas!  We are so honored and proud to bring this title to Chicago!  Many thanks to the producers of this weekend and to all the performers who dedicated their time and money to this great cause.  We promise to continue to spread the word about the Burlesque Hall of Fame and be ambassadors of burlesque!

March 12th marks the one year anniversary of Naked Girls Reading.  Come celebrate with us on March 12 at Studio L’amour.  Readers include Michelle L’amour, Great Layne, Mimi First, Dominique Trixx, and Deirdre Doll.  Also, Alan Gresik is on piano accompanying the readers.  And we will be making a big announcement at this event.  You don’t want to miss it!

Studio L’amour’s Spring Session

The new Spring Session begins on March 1 at Studio L’amour.  Classes are taught by Michelle L’amour and the basic classes are taught by Frenchie Kiss, Lady Ginger, and Vivian Velvet.  Let’s do our best to usher in spring by putting a little tease in our step!  Registration is available now.

Thanks to the thousand or so of you that came out to the Music Box Theatre to celebrate Valentine’s day with us.  It was quite a magical evening.  Thanks to our guests, Nadine Dubois (elegant and bawdy as ever), Yuri Lane (for the feverish moments), The Stage Door Johnnies (hawt), the Oona Tramps and the unstoppable madness of Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey.  And for the after party, Mr. Prob Cause who tore it up with Michelle L’amour and Yuri Lane in a loin-stirring rendition of Tom Waits’ “Pasties and a G-String”.

Belles and Whistles – Feb. 13 – Music Box Theater

We’re back with Belles and Whistles, one of our biggest shows of the year, on Feb. 13 at the Music Box Theater.  Michelle L’amour, Frenchie Kiss, Mimi First, Ivy Fabulous, Vivian Velvet will all be premiering new acts!  We will also be doing a new group act, as well as some of your favorites.  Our host, Nadine Dubois, is back for more with special guests Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey, Yuri Lane, and the Stage Door Johnnies.  There will also be a fabulous after party with the cast at the Dana Hotel’s Vertigo Sky Lounge.  Tickets are available by clicking on the image above or can be purchased at Studio L’amour with cash or check.  There are two shows, 7 and 9:30.  It is highly recommended that you get your tickets in advance as we sold out last year!
